What are the Procedures for Checking the Oil Level?

To check the oil level in your car, first, ensure the engine is off and has cooled down for a few minutes to avoid burns. Open the hood and locate the dipstick, which usually has a brightly colored handle. Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel. Reinsert the dipstick fully back into its tube, then remove it again to check the oil level. The oil should be between the “low” and “full” marks on the dipstick. If it’s below the “full” mark, add the appropriate oil type for your vehicle, using a funnel to prevent spills. Be sure not to overfill. After adding oil, wait a few minutes, then recheck the level to ensure it’s correct. Finally, securely replace the dipstick and close the hood.
